Future Group led Indus-League plans a new format
2nd July 2010
Indus-League Clothing which is owned by Future Group is diversifying from a western branded apparel company to a speciality retailer. Indus-League Clothing has decided to accumulate together a range of its in-house brands to facilitate the bigger strides of the former menswear segment with a retail format called Headquarters.
Headquarters will include lots of overseas brands such spanning from interview shirt to boardroom wear such as Daniel Hechter (a premium French brand which was launched in India last year), Indigo Nation and Urbana, a techno-formals brand. 68 percent of the stake of Indus-League Clothing is being owned by Pantaloon which will support the strategy of its premium formalwear private labels like Lombard and John Miller.
"While a brand-loyal consumer flocks to exclusive outlets, others frequent large-format department stores that offer more variety. But there exists a consumer who would prefer a destination of similar brands that offers a personalised experience," said Rachna Aggarwal, CEO of Indus-League Clothing.
