Future TV spreads its wing

17th October 08 ,Mumbai Future TV, the retailscape television network from Future Media, has bagged exclusive rights to install and operate its network in Foodland Fresh, the food and grocery chain owned by the Radhakrishna Group across Mumbai and its suburbs, Navi Mumbai and Thane.

The network will consist of multiple sized LCD screens located at strategic places within Foodland Fresh stores. The content aired will be contextual to the food and grocery format and its ambience and relevant to the consumers in those spaces.

Commenting on the alliance, Ajay Bose, Director of Business Development at Future Media, said ìFuture TV is dedicated to aggregating consumers across various spaces of consumption within and outside the Future Group. Foodland Fresh is a successful food and grocery format with a wide spread across various neighbourhoods in the city, which will help make Future TVís reach more forceful and will give advertisers a more varied consuming audienceî.

The tie-up is part of Future TVís expansion strategy to environments beyond the Future Group stores. The network took its first steps into non-Future Group stores by acquiring media rights to R-Mall and Oberoi Mall in Mumbai as well as the My Dollar Store chain earlier this year.

Future Media is part of the Future Group which owns big ticket brands like Pantaloons, Big Bazaar, Central and Hometown. The group manages over four million square feet of retail space spanning over 500 stores across 50 cities in India.

Foodland Fresh belongs to the Radhakrishna Group which was established in 1966. The discount retailer has over 23 stores in Mumbai with a complete range of staples, FMCG, bakery and meat.
