Talks OOH! the new Concept from the house of VJ Media Works, is a fresh initiative to highlight the past, the present and the future of out-of-home advertising in various regions. While last year, Delhi was the first destination chosen for Talks OOH! this year the focus moves to the state of Uttar Pradesh with UP Talks OOH! UP Talks OOH! will be held on - September 18, 2010 at Taj Residancy, in Lucknow. “We are delighted to come in as the main sponsor for the OOH forum in Lucknow. The state of Uttar Pradesh while is known for its rich culture and heritage provides a huge platform for out-of-home advertising. With more than 600 media owners, who own various media properties, the size of OOH advertising industry is pegged at Rs. 100 crores. The state has more than 70 districts and apart from Lucknow and Kanpur, there are 10 more districts which are quite active in the business of OOH advertising. Looking at the growth of the OOH business in UP, the Utter Pradesh Govt. had drafted an outdoor advertising policy in 2009, which is being implemented.
This forum will put on the table some crucial issues that hinder the growth of OOH in the particular region. Vasant Jante, managing director, VJ Media Works, said, “What started as a small initiative in Delhi last year and has now turned into a full-fledged agenda thanks to the support from the industry who has recognized the need for such a regional platform. Also at the same time, the platform is a learning experience for the youngsters who have just started their journey in OOH industry”
