OAA Kolkata rigid about 60 days credit period

The members of Outdoor Advertising Association (OAA), Kolkata, in a meeting have reached an agreement of not extending the credit period beyond 60 days.

The decision was taken after suggestions had flown in from agencies to allow some flexibility in the credit period by extending to 90 the date of launch of campaign. With the association trying to regularize the system, it had to contemplate on a few negative suggestions that had made its way into the table from different segments of the industry.

The association has therefore decided to take no official stand as these were personal suggestions, however the association will be mailing a letter to the organizations requesting to work cordially.

The recent moves by OAA Kolkata, has given birth to many debates from different quarters of the industry showing displeasure against the rules and regulations charted by the body. The regulations will come into action from September 1, 2010.
